"allowing the demon to devour you is a dangerous proposition, but it's worth the risk".
i'm literally dying. someone has used GPT-2 to build a neural net generated text-based dungeon game.

"You tell them to sleep well .. and scream. Memes rattle and die."
This is incredible! 😍
@janellecshane robed lord PCs, you say ... 😹
@janellecshane Omg this such a goldmine! Thank you!
@theoutrider @janellecshane 2. I tell you what I liked
@janellecshane that was quite a confusing read before i saw your description :D
@janellecshane all i can think of now is an over the top ad for men's panties with lots of yelling and stock explosion effects...
"Extreme panties for men! Exert your masculinity with desert camo, flame streak, and sports car designs! Men's Panties, panties to the EXTREEEEEME!!"
THE COLORS ARE BLACK AND CAMO BROWN AND DIGITAL URBAN CAMO AND NOTHING ELSE
MENNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNN
@janellecshane I quite enjoy how it seems to maintain a few nouns in context from step-to-step (not sure if that’s coincidence or if the model is designed that way).
It would be awesome though if it could classify some of words in the text you’re selecting and structure it into an actual game mechanic with health and attacks and stuff. The generated text often lends itself really well to that.
@nbering I would definitely play that, though it sounds really hard to set up!
@nbering @janellecshane It's plausible our choices have consequences, but the consequences cannot even be percieved because the choices cannot be understood.
"You attack monsters and are able to create hostility by dropping raw meat sources. Loot your loot, buy ammo, alive better and now you have what you need.. well you thought the depression was over awhile ago. Oh well."
@janellecshane Oh, here's a good one!
"You use recipes for dread but hunger is ignored."
@janellecshane This sounds like something Charlie Stross could comfortably put in his Laundry series...
tag yrself I'm "stun his done"
@janellecshane "There is glee pushing through your veins." OOohhhh K.
You know, this starts merely odd, but after a few, it gets less and less coherent, and weirder and weirder. I love it! :-)
@janellecshane it was only a matter of time before the neural nets discovered vore
