I do wish there was more background music for the live-action Bebop, though. They've got Yoko Kanno on board but it seems like they're mostly just recycling stuff from the old OST (which is great, don't get me wrong!) and not doing whole long sequences composed to the music like they did in the animated show.

They also tend to use short bursts of music (esp old OST) for emphasis and to flag certain things, e.g. a certain song being used for a set of recurring flashbacks.

I've been watching the new Cowboy Bebop and liking it so far.

Granted my brain is also spending a lot of cycles shredding apart why they made the changes they did for the adaptation. In a good way! It's something my writer-brain has gotten fixated on lately. I went to Mean Girls the Musical on Thursday and it was much the same thing.

@Ethancdavenport Apparently the creators have admitted they took a ton of inspiration from Doctor Who for him. There's even daleks on the shelf of a toy store in one episode

@Ethancdavenport It's a screwdriver but even more for babies, and Tommy had a screwdriver XD

@xyzzy That would honestly make more sense, but I was thinking of it as a screwdriver for babies and then remembered Tommy's screwdriver on Rugrats XD

That does sound good! Though I am generally a fan of pickles and the related brine.

Made what I've decided to call a Tommy Pickles Screwdriver.

Roughly 2 shots vodka (guess who owns no appropriate measuring tools, so might have been less)
A 12 oz can of orange soda

So far it is a perfectly acceptable liquor delivery method

I mean, the streaming would probably be totally doable given the size of my apartment except for the fact that there's so much wireless interference here on the 2.4 Ghz band from all the other wireless signals.

Whelp, time to move out to the country. Clearly this is the best reason.

Got a Retroid Pocket 2 for my birthday and need to finish getting it set up. I'm a little bummed that it doesn't seem to support 5 GHz wifi (at least under its stock android install), which is understandable but limits its utility as a Steam link/streaming machine, which I was hoping for.

@greyor Yeah, now that you mention it I don't know if I've ever worked with a word processor that did tables even half decently

@Garrison eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeewwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww ugh

@Nezchan (turns out cozy is a hard criteria to fulfill!)

@Nezchan Flipping through my Steam library on a linux box, all I've really got to suggest is Stardew Valley.

Animal Crossing is the other one I immediately thought of, but that's obv. console only :\

Also my friend if your predator species outnumbers your prey species? You get why that's bad. Now you got a pile of dead lions. Just scads of skinny, dying lions. The lions would like some sheep.

Saw a protagonist syndrome dipshit in a pickup with a bumper sticker saying "lions not sheep" and ok fine lions are good, but all lions now? Oops all lions?

Try making a sweater with lion fur. Lion's not giving that up. Sheep says thanks I'll grow more.

Manchego? My favorite cheese? Can't make that with no lion milk.

The constant roaring would deafen us folks
