And here we have evidence (middle high-blob of CPU on the left) of Firefox just losing it and crashing, but only after nearly locking up my system.
Also: Firefox, how can you take up SO MUCH memory on your own? https://wandering.shop/media/6xf-01ub_NFAkTaku9o
@aldobelus It's 58.0.1, so yes, I think so?
@hummingrain Yep, this version number is Quantum. It's strange, the new version is, supposedly, lighter than the previous ones...
@hummingrain I mean, that is a light version! Or at least, this is what Mozilla says!
@aldobelus For whatever it's worth, I only ("only") have 4GB of RAM on this laptop. Seems like it should be enough for 5-10 tabs, though. :\
@hummingrain This is not a normal behavior. "Something" is happening...
@hummingrain this isn't just you. i really want to like firefox but every time i try to use it i just have loads of problems with it :(
@snoothy I'm really glad to hear it's not just me. I know the laptop I use is kind of weak, so I kind of end up assuming that it's just that I'm running an underpowered system. Hearing from other people helps me remember that's not the case. ^^
@hummingrain And is this the new version, Quantum?
