My natural curls would look so amazing dyed bubblegum pink but the amount of bleach needed to get them there would destroy it all nsjjajahag ๐ข
@amphetamine is it?? I got my hair professionally bleached like 6 years ago and I don't remember it hurting but I remember the aftermath of my hair like crackling falling apart and then I had to cut it all off
@guerrillarain @amphetamine Bleach hurts like a son of a bitch if you get it directly on your scalp but otherwise you just end up with a bit of a tingle on the top of your head IME
@witchfynder_finder @amphetamine Ahhh I used to get my hair chemically straightened which burns pretty badly when it gets to the roots so maybe I didn't even notice since I was used to it
And it's also lame I can't find wigs that replicate my actual hair texture so basically I'm stuck not having bubblegum pink ringlets.
BUT on the bright side, my hair is getting really long and tick. It's about shoulder length (I cut it all off a year ago and also shaved a huge chunk like 3 months before that) when the curls are stretched out completely.
For a timeline of the great bleach debacle, I had shoulder length hair that I bleached in March 2012 (from dark brown to gold). It was permanently frizzy and breaking off early June. I had to chop off all my hair to a pixie cut by end of July.
It was not a great endeavor.
@guerrillarain The chemistry folks need to get cracking on colored variants of graphene hair dye*
* It's a surface coat, so it's arguably better described as paint.
@WeeMadHamish ๐ญ๐ญ๐ญ๐ญ๐ญ yes
@guerrillarain it's so painful too
