@distelfliege I wonder why they do that? Flexiflips is so much more descriptive and doesn’t have the ableist use of “crazy”. I mean, I don’t think Flexiflips is a great name, but it’s not bad, and I do understand that they want a trademarkable word.

addi is a german brand and in germany you have these things very often. I have a fountain pen with a melon design that's "crazy" and there's a designer who calls her design brand "craSy" and I know two knitting podcasts in german (no, three) that namend themselves "insane" or "crazy" (in german.)

in german, our words for that do have a positive meaning sometimes, and I think that's why companies brand their things with it and think that's cool.

I wish they would stop though..
