Lem and the rag-tag gang of galactic adventurers on the starship Teapot are set to become roadies for the galaxy’s hottest band – but an urgent call from Bexley’s family means the rock stars will have to wait
My thoughts:
Okay this is not a crazy high stakes the world will blow up type of sci-fi but the stakes are high in a family in danger type of way which is quite refreshing.
The writing style here is done flawlessly. Imagine the absurdity of discworld but very LGBTQ + friendly and way less of a commitment. There is a brilliant blend of humour and information about the worlds and how all the aliens interact and how they use their respective technology to communicate and work together. It also does a brilliant job of taking complicated subjects like transphobia, ableism and so much more and making it understandable and digestible.
The characters were all so loveable and different to anything I’ve read before. This book was very cozy and though you could tell that none of the characters were ever in danger and you knew it was going to end well yous till cared enough to continue reading. Also can we appreciate the fact we get an animal companion here we have a dog in space everyone 🙌also the spaceship is a teapot of that isn’t adorable asf idk what would satisfy yall 😂

Over all I highly recommend picking this one up. I am doing to invest in the rest of the books myself.
