@bircheswatching ALTHOUGH the Surface had a hardware fault apparently so I can’t give myself the blame for messing with the OS there. So maybe I’m not actually THAT cursed.
Irritating things I have discovered about iphones:
- defaults to imessage over texts, so when u use up all yr data anyone w an iphone can’t text u w/o changing their settings
- DETERMINED to nag me for not backing up my pics on the cloud
- won’t let me set custom tones per app
Maybe once the warranty on this baby runs out I’ll dive in and learn how to jailbreak it. With my record with owning technology this will 99% lead to me bricking it BUT i am an optimist.
My parents have gone away for a few days and left me by myself in their house so obviously I have covered the dining table in art supplies and embroidery floss.
(Actually I was gonna go do the writing in a cafe thing because I haven’t left the house in 4 days & I don’t like it, but apparently my mum is expecting a package so I am held hostage by the mail.)

Hello shop! I haven’t been around partially because brains (it’s more comfortable to vent on twitter where my close friends are I guess!) and partially cause I’ve made nooooo progress on my #mastoKAL2017 shawl, because the brain lizards decided it is time to mostly draw, sometimes write inbetween, no fibrecrafts. And, well, I go where the lizards lead.
I did hang up a bunch of posters and prints in my new flat and it feels SO good now. It is my space indeed.
You see, when a lesbian has a good day she sends up some of her energy to the moon so that other lesbians who aren't doing so well can take it.
The moon glows because of all that gay energy reflecting off of it.
Good morning, shop! My work is closed because of snow, so I’m having a comfy late breakfast. Today’s advent calendar tea is chocolate, ginger, and cinnamon - I’ve never had a chocolate tea before, so I’m v curious. It certainly smells very chocolatey!
We’ve moved from a ‘sleep all the time’ to a ‘what is a sleep’ phase of brain nonsense, I see.

IMHO yall (and me too) should be #tagging your stuff because I can never find the things I'm interested directly, usually I follow someone who boosts something that I find interesting but that something has no fricking tags.
Tagging does not make you look like you are trying too hard, but it helps people see your stuff.
It would also mean not having to add full text search to masto.
i've thought about giving my lit zine it's own masto account, but for now, i'll just do the occasional toot on its behalf.

I once saw someone say that pixel art was the first truly masculine art form and to this day I carry my great grandmothers cross stitch sampler around with me so that in case I ever meet that person I can throw it at them
