I've started taking notes on and drafting panel descriptions for a comic book I'd love to pitch eventually. The big thing that's fucking with my head right now, though, is the A-plot/B-plot structure that *most* comics use in each issue. It's such a totally different mode from what I'm used to writing that it feels very clunky and insincere. Part of me wants to buck the system and scrap that structure. But it let's you delve into character detail in unique ways.
The Wandering Shop is a Mastodon instance initially geared for the science fiction and fantasy community but open to anyone. We want our 'local' timeline to have the feel of a coffee shop at a good convention: tables full of friendly conversation on a wide variety of topics.
