Wow adding the Mastodon White style to my Stylish extension & adding wandering.shop to the list of domains it affects has made Mastodon about a zillion times more readable.
@akuzenski @ann_leckie so the next version of Mastodon, which I'll be upgrading us to soon, let's us change the style for the whole instance. If you have suggestions, I'm open to changing the default.
@phildini The white text on black background was a bit hard on my eyes. I'm currently using what looks like black text on a taupe background. Mastodon White extension through the Stylish browser extension. Like it a lot.
@akuzenski can you link me? It won't fix the mobile app, but i can maybe fix the web app this weekend.

@phildini @akuzenski yeah, dark text on a lighter background--specific color schemes aren't a big deal to me really. But that, yeah, that's a thing.
@akuzenski you know about the style for Black Gate, right? I don't read BG much but when someone would link to it I'd be like "MY EYES" but the Stylish sheet for it makes it a whole different experience.
@ann_leckie I will have to take a look at BG with the style enabled, because the dark background/light text thing gives me a headache. Thanks!

@eilatan I learned about Stylish in the comments at File 770. Someone did a style for there that grays out known trolls. It's kind of like disemvoweling. You can read them if you want to, but if you don't you can just pass your eyes over to the next comment.
I heard about the BG style there, too. I don't use Stylish much, but when I do, oh boy, am I happy to have it.
