I set up Lubuntu 17.10 on an old surplus desktop. While poking around I discovered the DosBox pkg that emulates the old Win 3.1 DOS. Shortly after I found Sid Meier's Civilization (1991). A perfect storm of nostalgia and gaming is on the horizon!

Next week is Session Zero - Character Building for our Savage Worlds Super Powers game. I was thinking of turning The Mule into a heroic character. He may even quote dirty limericks. #asimov

With all the paperwork out of the way (for the next few minutes anyway!) maybe, just maybe, I can get down to doing some science today before I'm off to Savage Worlds night (formerly D&D night) to play our first Super Powers game.
Re that last boost: Mastodon is hard to get into without a guide and some focused usage.
The things that make it less toxic also make it harder to discover people to follow.
Without people, you just kind of feel like you're tooting into the void. It makes Mastodon a lonely place that you're less likely to return to. I mean, this is why Twitter and Facebook put so much energy into recommendations.
I don't think Mastodon should try to solve this problem. But let's acknowledge the hurdles.
Last night our group played out first session of Savage Worlds RPG system. I was Kai, the lead guitarist of The Chainsaws and afraid of clowns. We all played pre-gens made by our GM. In a couple of weeks we start our Super Hero mini-campaign. #savageworlds
