Apps mean not only are you giving those companies your posts, but also your call logs, possibly SMS data, details of all the other apps on your phone, phone number, contact details, usage data, full social graph, detailed location data, ability to read phone storage, microphone access, access to your calendar, activity recognition (are you walking, driving etc), view network connections, etc etc

For a Computer Architecture class, our final project is a research report on a processor of our choice. I chose to research one of the PULP (https://www.pulp-platform.org/) cores. They're designed around RISC-V (https://riscv.org/). Anything using RISC-V gets me really excited, and I look forward to seeing RISC-V processors enter the market in the coming years!
Interesting fact: when your university is really small, it doesn't take much to cause a lot of hype. Our cafeteria has specialty nights and gets lines running out the doors waiting for the cafeteria to open.

Nothing quite like brushing your teeth and suddenly having toothbrush bristles all over your tongue. I think I may brush too vigourously.
What if, instead of creating DRM to inhibit people from illegally sharing content, we created a new form of DRM that somehow rewards people who follow the rules? Thinking of somehow signing/watermarking the content with a personal key, which is then used to determine how "trustworthy" you are.
IDK, maybe this would end up being more broken than the current way.
