The book is done and the new version is turned in and now I return to writing our regularly scheduled 3rd novel, already in progress.

I'm trying to remember the last time I had such difficulty writing a novel. This one has been second-book-syndrome times a billion. Thanks to my awesome agent, it's finally starting to come together, but still ...

I'd kind of forgotten about this place. *waves*

I haven't been here for a while because of work and writing. *waves*

I'm working on the last couple of chapters of edits on WHERE OBLIVION DWELLS before turning this book back over to my editor. It's been a long, hard spring.

I have.
One.
More.
Week.
To.
Edit.
This.
Book.
*mews and blows spit bubbles*

I hate this book so bad right now. I know that will change once I finish it and see it all sparkly and printed, but right now, at this moment in time, I hate this fucking book.

I have finished the book. I cannot look at it for at least 3-5 days. More would be preferable, but I'm on a deadline. Meanwhile, IMA GONNA WATCH ALL THE MOVIES AND BINGE ON DARK!

I just offered my adult daughter (who does not have a job) money to come and clean my house for me during the week. She said okay. I may survive next year after all.

I wrote a short blog post on a few thoughts that I had during my Wonder Woman re-watch. Too long to toot so here is the link: tfrohock.com/blog/2017/12/10/w

My cat's name is Emerson-Emerson-Emerson-EMERSON-STOP-THAT.

What do you call your pet?

The world is all soft and blue and quiet because of the snow.

I rewatched Wonder Woman last night (on DVD and with closed captions). It was just as marvelous the second time. I understood a lot more of the movie that I initially thought that I did. I also cried and cried again.

Okay, it's about 4 gnarly chapters that need to be broken up and refined, because 1st drafts. Ugh.

I've got a gnarly chapter to work through this morning.

This post showed up in a FB memory today and since it was such fun to write, it became one of my favorite guest posts, and because I'm working on STORIES, I thought I'd share it here, too: On Angels, Daimons, and Los Nefilim by T. Frohock fantasybookcafe.com/2015/12/gu

I realized last night that I forgot to add the Nazis into the novel.
Damn it.
*goes to add Nazis into scenes needing Nazis*

I hit 57,000 words on the novel today. I'm rolling into the climax and hoping everything gels. This one has been an interesting ride.
