Not quite as much progress as I was hoping for this week, thanks to the needle breakage, but it's past the gusset decreases and into the main part of the foot. The instep continues the 2x2 rib, but rather than inverting it uses pairs of increases and decreases to make the ribs flow diagonally across the foot. The other sock will have them going in the opposite direction @fiberarts
First challenge of #knitting a toe-up sock successfully cleared. Not a huge fan of how fiddly it is to get started, but now I'm done with the increases it should be plain sailing for a while
Finished #knitting these socks last night, so I could block them this morning while washing my other socks. The main yarn is the delightfully named Disco Goth by Needle & Fred
Post-meeting sock update. The pattern for this section is just a 2x2 rib with the knit and the purl inverted every now and then. The instep will be more complicated when I get to it
Finished making this #crochet dragon yesterday. Took a while to find a stable pose with the weight of the huge wings
Finished #spinning my first proper single. It looks more even than it actually is because I got a lot better at drafting consistently halfway through the process
More practice #spinning. It's a little uneven still, but starting to feel like a skill that's achievable with practice
Having a go at learning to spin, because apparently all the cool kids are #spinning these days. Using some leftover fibre from a needle felting project for a low-stakes intro, I've managed this short and rather uneven single
COBOL programmer. Tend to assume I'm the smartest in the room. Write like I'm running out of time. She/her.
