To those of you celebrating today -
Happy Thanksgiving, Shop!

Right now, I'm *really* thankful that the coffee I just spilled all over my desk miraculously missed my keyboard... I'm also thankful for dogs and books, family and friends, and for the whiskey that will be waiting for me tonight, after I've survived the day's festivities! 😇

So many great suggestions! Can't wait to try them out. Thanks, everyone!

Morning, shop! Anyone have a favorite, go-to comfort to recommend for when you find yourself coming down with a cold? 🤧 🍵

For I tried to train a neural net to write the 1st line of a novel, but only had 1000 entries, most of which were Bulwer-Lytton contest winners. It didn't go well:

"Stop! I caused the Narguuse man who was new on Alabama, the screaming constipated eggs."

Now I'm crowdsourcing a larger dataset. Enter the 1st line of a novel/short story (I have 7700 already!) & at the end of the month I'll try again.

My current is the fifth (and final) installment of my Variant Series novels. The words are currently putting up a fight, but I'm going to miss these characters and this world SO MUCH once it's finally finished. That said, I'm also ridiculously excited to close this chapter of my writing life and start in on something new! Just gotta make it to that finish line... :)

Two hours in the word mines and only 500 words on my this morning... Inching along is still better than cranking out nothing at all, though, so I'll take it.

Hello wandering shop friends... if 21 more patrons give $1 a month, we can keep the shop afloat:

"Let's play a game, to help some of the newcomers make connections: name 5-7 things that interest you but aren't in your profile, as tags so they are searchable. Then boost this post or repeat its instructions so others know to do the same."

Hi, all! Just wandered over here from .social after hearing that was the place to be! I'm Jena. I write YA paranormal fiction, work as a freelance designer, and drink waaayyy too much coffee. Books and music are the two loves of my life. If it has a twisted plot or a catchy backbeat, I probably adore it. Excited to have found a new space so full of fellow writers and artists!
