I'm working on a #DnD box for my amazing DM. I've never done anything like this before so hopefully it turns out fine. Here are some WIP shots
My head has been cloudy for a little over 2 years now and I'm fucking tired of it. This has been affecting my ability to learn and understand technical information and has negatively impacted my skills as a programmer.
I know I'm way smarter than this. I'm done with having trouble understanding basic concepts. It's time I go back to the books and start re-learning the skills I've forgotten. 😤
The most interesting food thing I've learned recently is how to use vodka or other hard liquor to help make pie crust:
Make your crust like normal, but replace half of the water with the liquor, and it will be a much more flaky, delicate crust (and the alcohol is baked out of it).
The theory behind it is that the starch will stay suspended in the liquid, but since ethanol doesn't promote gluten formation, it stays more delicate.
An apple brandy would add amazing flavor, too! #foodknowledge

One of my lovely party members sent me an adorable owl puppet to look like my in-game owl Nibby! All she's missing are the strips golden feathers 😍
