Stuck on a broken intercity bus, hoping the greyhound at the border will turn around as it often runs mostly empty. If not, three hour wait for another bolt bus. A little further and we could at least wait at the border.

@Canageek what's the most fascinating crystallography thing you know that will amazing someone who had to google what crystallography is?
@glasnt I'd say that the whole concept in general where I can take an unknown crystal, put it on an x-ray, and then suddenly I know exactly what is in it, and how it is arranged. Sometimes in less then an hour.
I mean, sometimes it is days and days of work, but other times just BAM. Image of the molecule on your computer screen.
