I'm excited - I sold a novella to Clarkesworld! It's called "The Persistence of Blood," and it has politics and prejudice and sex and death and I can't wait for you to read it. I'm so grateful to everyone who helped me in the writing process, and to Neil Clarke for believing in this story.

HIt my goal + 500 words today. Hardest day yet but I stuck with it.

So for #scifi / #bookrecs I just started Phasma from the new Star Wars Canon (sorry always gonna be a SW geek).
I have put off diving into the new canon since it was reset. Honestly I spent a lot of time from Zhan to about 8 years ago reading the EU and couldn't justify the possibility of cross-over knowledge bleeding through. But to hell with it. The books are usually fast reads so no major time sink.
Thoughts? Criticisms?
400 words down in 45 mins. Feeling really out of it today. It just started to drizzle (damn it, give me a storm!).
DO NOT feel like hitting my goal today, just want couch and book. But going to strap on my headphones of wordsmithing +3 and venture forth!

Does anyone else write with a browser open in the ground to look up minor things or find the right word, or just the word that is currently escaping you? If you do, have you ever gone back after a session and looked at your history? Sometimes I think I should be on a watch list or something.
My 15 monther is in mimic mode.. HOWEVER, she just mimic'd the "opera" singing in the original Star Trek theme. So there is that.
