I hadn't seen this episode. First the actor playing Van Gogh (Tony Curran) is a familiar face from several parts in film and TV, and he was handling this beautifully. I was already pretty moved as the point of Richard Curtis's little story came clear.
Then all of a sudden here's Bill Nighy! who proceeds to fulfill the dream of every starving artist everywhere.
So Vince and I end up sobbing in unison ... Thanks for this!
