If programming feels like a thing you have literally ever done, you can call yourself a programmer. Also you have at least one more level to master, because literally all programmers do. This is a trade marked by constant learning.

If you feel like you do not have anything else to learn--then you're in trouble.

So the other day, my friend joked in an email that they were attending a bacchanalia.

I jokingly replied, "why was I not invited to the bacchanalia?"

Today, gmail asked me if I would like to follow up on why I was not invited to the bacchanalia.

Because I'm a SQUARE, Google. Gosh, way to rub it in.

Whoops, yesterday was Ada Lovelace Day.

Fun fact: Ada Lovelace Day is why I became a programmer. I have her tattooed on my arm.

One thing that is good about 2018: when maintenance knocks on my door to tell me they have to cut the power for an hour or more, I can pick up my work and decamp to a coffee shop with minimal interruption.

Spouse and I have been binge-watching CSI and are up to season ten. It's weird to watch the years fly by on screen.

Spent some time at the local gardens yesterday, watching bees and butterflies dance through the autumn blooms. Very soothing.

Began another round of trials today on breathing tea. Sorry to report that I still have not mastered the technique.

I encourage everyone to follow their joy, but today my dog's joy is sitting on my feet and farting.

Good morning! I'm trying a new tea this week (I find I have to try the same tea several times, because things grow on me). It's the "Angel's Dream" blend from The Boulder Tea Company--fruity, mapley, black and green.

Welcome to the first day of Halloween. The Wandering Shop is now a halloween pop-up store as well as a trans-dimensional cafe. I will be making absurd stuff out of candy-corn. Decorative gourds everywhere.

Thank you for your attention.

The thing about doing my invoices by hand instead of using invoice software is I can number my invoices non-sequentially.

homemade rye sourdough with cheese is so good, y'all. SO GOOD.

Hi, hello, good morning! May you find gentleness inside your heart, in abundance enough to give it generously to others — and to yourself.

Gonna be a time, blossoms, let’s take care of each other.
